Allen's story

Allen lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with two children, and all her children go to school. She has one additional family member (her grandmother). She operates a retail shop that she rents. She also gets additional income from farming .She has been in this business for the last 5 years. She works seven days a week. She has requested a loan of 2,000,000 UGX from MCDT – SACCO to buy more bags of sugar, cooking oil, flour, rice, soap, beans, wheat and crates of soda. Her major business challenges are transportation and seasonality. Her goal is to buy a truck for transporting her stock to the shop. She lives in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and food.
