Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase groceries.

Moneera's story

Moneera is a 49-year-old married woman with no children. Her husband is employed and earns a low salary, which is not enough to cover all their needs. Moneera has a grocery store. It has been a profitable project and a second source of income for Moneera and her husband, but it needs more support to cover costs.

Moneera is requesting a USD loan from FATEN to help her cover the costs of purchasing needed stock of basic groceries, such as rice, cooking oil and canned food, that customers often request. This will increase sales and Moneera's income. Moneera is photographed inside her grocery store.
