Lali's story

Lali is from the village of Norio, Abasha district. She is 43 years old and lives with her husband and two children (23 and 26 years old). Her son works as a manager at the techniques store locally and her husband is an artisan. Both family members get a monthly salary. Lali is involved in an agricultural business. In particular, she runs a small dairy business with four milk cows whose milk is used in cheese products. She sells on average 40 kg. of cheese per month. In addition, the family grows maize on the family-owned land. The harvested maize is used for family needs. Besides, Lali has a pig and five piglets. She works hard to make some savings and improve the living conditions for her family. Lali requested the loan to purchase an additional milk cow. After the number of cattle is increased, the family will receive more milk for dairy products. This will increase the sales and a monthly income as well. With the increased income, Lali will improve the family's living conditions.
