A loan of $350 helped to buy 5 rolls of wire to enclose his land and stop cattle from damaging his crops.

Encarnacion's story

Encarnacion is 60 years old. He is from the region of Jazmin, in Teustepe, municipality of Boaco. He is married and works as a farmer, growing corn and beans. Encarnacion started to work for other people when he was 12. Later on he worked for his uncle as a farmer and at the age of 18, he got married and started his own business. His wife helped him with a piece of land she owned and some money which was invested in basic grain for the crops. Today, thanks to his hard daily work and his effort, he has managed to maintain his crops. He sells his products in the same region to avoid additional costs.
He is asking for this loan to buy 5 rolls of wire to enclose his land and stop cattle from damaging his crops. This loan will help improve his crop production and sell it at a good price. His future plans once he sells the corn are to pay back the loan to improve his land and to buy cattle. Additional goals will be to repair all the fences in his land and build a well.
