A loan of $200 helped to buy rice, beans, corn and firewood.

Eva Del Carmen's story

Eva is originally from the community of San Nicolás, on the outskirts of Estelí but now she lives in Estelí. She is a single mother of two children, ages 16 and 18. She had a minimal knowledge of business as before this she worked s a housekeeper. She realized she wasn’t earning much as a housekeeper so she decided to open a food stand. Her sister helped her establish her business in the market in Estelí, as she had no other source of income. She would like the market to become familiar with her food.
Eva is asking for this loan to buy rice, beans, corn and firewood. This loan will help her buy more products and further invest in her business. This is how she will increase customer demand for her products. She would like to increase the products she offers in order to satisfy her customers and provide a better quality of life for her children.
