A loan of $775 helped to buy tires and give maintenance to her vehicle.

Cely's story

Cely is a hard-working and determined 32-year-old woman who wants to get ahead in life. She is married to Jairo who works as a security guard and is father of her three children. They live in their own home and love their children dearly. Cely rents passenger transportation in the city, and has a public transportation vehicle that she bought with the help of her husband. She rents the vehicle to a responsible person who pays her per day worked. She started this business more than 3 years ago, buying the vehicle with the couple's joint savings. Her husband sometimes drives the vehicle in his free time. She believes it to be a profitable business because of the money it earns and the demand for her service. She therefore wants to continue with it and increase the number of vehicles she has. This will be her third loan with the MFP institution. She is grateful and happy to know that she can continue to count on financial support to move her business forward. She says she is also content with her communal bank because she knows the members and considers them to be responsible people. With the requested amount of 2000 nuevos soles, she will invest in purchasing motorcycle spare parts such as tires and other parts to give maintenance to her vehicle, looking for the best prices in what she buys. This will mean that her vehicle will continue working and will create more profits.
