A loan of $1,000 helped to harvest her crops and buy a cow.

Yaneth Del Carmen's story

Yaneth is 32 years old. She is married and has a son. She and her husband work in agriculture. It was her father who taught her from the age of 10, and now that she is married, she helps her husband. They plant 21,000 square meters of corn and 21,000 square meters of beans. They get up very early to prepare breakfast, then they take their son to her mother's so that she can care for him, and they go to work. In this harvest she has not been able to help her husband because she is pregnant. To purchase their supplies, they walk about 10 minutes to catch a bus, which takes some 45 minutes to arrive at their destination.

The loan that she is applying for with Fundación Campo is to harvest their crops and to buy a cow, since after the harvest the stubble will remain and the cows will eat it. Her wish is to work together with her husband to save and build their own house, since the place where they live is not theirs but belongs to one of Yaneth's sisters, and to prepare their children.
