A loan of $400 helped to buy rice, sugar, oil and preserves and take her vehicle to the mechanic for servicing.

Bety's story

Bety is 30 years old and is a kind, friendly and responsible woman. She lives with her partner with whom she has 4 children and together they live in their own house. Bety works selling essential items, which she buys wholesale so that she can obtain a lower price. She also hires-out taxis, with one of them  being driven by her son and one being rented out. This allows her to earn an income. She had been working with this business for over 4 years.

She considers her business to be profitable and it also allows her to organize her own time. She says that this was not easy when she first set up her business since doubts and fears inhibited her. However little by little she gained strength and she is now reaping the fruits of her hard work. This will be her 17th loan with MFP. She is happy to know that she has financial support. With the amount she is asking for, of 1000 soles, she will buy products such as rice, sugar, oil and preserves. She will also take her vehicle to the mechanic for servicing.
