A loan of $1,600 helped to buy ceramic tiles, tile separators, and iron to prepare the floor to stick the tiles.

María Antonia's story

María is 42 years old, married, and has four children. She spends her time managing her house. She has been married for 28 years and has borne four children. Her husband makes his living in agriculture, and one of her sons lives abroad and helps with household expenses.

She says that she learned from her mother that the family comes first, and that is why she focuses on them. She also spends her time raising hens and pigs.

The loan will be used to buy ceramic tiles, tile separators, and iron to prepare the floor to stick the tiles. With the investment, she will improve her housing, since she was unable to do so when her children were young. Now that her son and Fundación Campo are supporting her, she wishes to do it. She also receives other income from the sale of hens and pigs. She wants to continue working with the Fundación and with the friends of KIVA.
