Alberto's story

Alberto, 64, is a good, hardworking man with a very good business sense. He lives with Juliana who is a merchant and the mother of his children. Alberto’s work consists in selling novelty items in the street in front of a school in his neighborhood. Among the things he sells are toys, necklaces, earrings and bracelets, among others. He heads out daily to secure a space in the street to spread out his wares and sell them. He’s been working in this activity for more than three years, time in which he’s come to recognize his business’ profitability which is why he must not stop being well-stocked. At the same time, it gives him free time to use as he determines to. He hopes later on to open a novelty store so he can feel more at ease with a stable place in which to work. This will be his second MFP loan and he hopes the small loan will help him reach his goal. On the other hand, he commits once again to make his payments like he’s done in previous loans. Also, he enjoys being part of his communal bank because all the members are responsible and very mutually supportive. He will use the requested 800 new soles to buy merchandise among which will be toys, necklaces, bracelets and other accessories to sell.
