A loan of $700 helped to purchase packets of hair extensions, gels, and fingernail polish.

Safora's story

Ms. Safora is 29 years old, married, and the mother of two children. She resides at her husband place in a large traditional extended family in Sanoubougou I, one of the working-class districts of Sikasso City. Ms. Safora is an administrator by training. After her studies, she soon became familiar with styling women's hair three years ago. With such experience in this domain, she is much in demand by young single women, especially for ceremonies (marriages, baptisms, anniversaries, etc.)

Having insufficient resources of her own for carrying out her work is the reason for her goal and the justification for this request for a Soro Yiriwaso loan, so as to do better satisfying the needs of her ever-growing customer base. She is requesting this initial loan to increase her working capital to be able to purchase 20 packets of hair extensions of different qualities, 30 containers of gel, and a dozen of fingernail polish of different colors, in Bamako.

With this loan, she envisions making an average profit of 100,000 francs CFA enabling her to address most of her costs, help cover family expenses, pay the loan interest, and invest the rest in her business.
