A loan of $3,925 helped a member to buy hairstyling and beauty products.

Lideres Emprendedores Group's story

The communal bank "Lideres Emprendedores" [Enterprising Leaders] is composed of eight members, all of them women. The president of the bank is María, who is 29 years old and has a one-year-old little boy. She earns her living doing hairstyling, manicures, and makeup in a beauty salon located in the El Torno neighborhood of the city of Santa Cruz.

This loan is María's first cycle within the institution. She is going to use this loan to purchase hairstyling and beauty products, like hair color and rollers as well as a variety of creams. She is going to use the proceeds to continue buying materials and improving her beauty salon.

María is a very hardworking person, and she feels happy and grateful to the institution for the support provided to her and her fellow members. In many cases, their work is the only source of support for their families.

In this group: Maria Angelica, Maribel, Persida, Fidelia Moreno, Cristina, Rossi, Celestina, Emma
