A loan of $500 helped buy fruit and ears of corn to improve her business.

Elsa's story

Elsa is a 65-year-old retail merchant, who has worked in the same manner during many years. She is very well known in different neighborhoods. Elsa lives with her family, for whom she works very hard daily, as the only provider they can count on for all the necessities that make life stable.

Elsa sells fruit and vegetables in the streets, and also prepares corn-based dishes, such as tamales and 'pupusas' [a Salvadoran favorite], to sell in the same manner.

She is soliciting a loan through INTEGRAL due to her enormous desire to improve her earnings and, also, to be able to make her business grow, delivering greater benefits for her family.
