A loan of $5,750 helped a member to buy more stocks of food items.

Uzinduzi Group's story

Amesa, who is in her late 20s, is single with two girls who still go to school. She has been a food vendor for six years now. She works from 8am to 6pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to buy more food items (some kilos of rice, sacks of charcoal, maize flour and liters of Kerosine) and she has paid back all her loan successfully. She request this loan to buy more stocks of food items to make more food to resell to more customers. Her dream is to one day be able to build a house.

She will share this loan with her loan group " Uzinduzi" which totals 19 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
