A loan of $625 helped to expand his cattle shed.

Soso's story

Soso, 54, is from a small village in Zestaponi District. He lives with his wife and 3 children (29, 26 and 24 years old). Soso and his son work as bakers in their village and get a monthly income. The family also runs an agricultural business. In particular, they have a pig, 2 milk cows and 2 calves. Soso also owns 0.3 hectares of land, where he sows different kinds of vegetables. Besides, he has a vineyard with 300 vine trees. Soso sells grape and dairy products locally at the open market for a good price. He works hard to ensure good harvests.

Soso requested a loan to purchase building materials for a shed. The existing shed is too small and doesn’t allow him to implement his future plans of farm expansion. After building the shed, he will purchase additional livestock and keep the animals in the shed. It will increase the family's income, for Soso will receive more milk for his dairy business. With increased income, the family will improve its living conditions.
