Lok E. has two businesses to support his family. He goes around his village, door- to-door, purchasing recycle items and then sells them to the recycling plant. He also collects palm juice and refines it to palm sugar to sell in the market. He earns approximately three dollars a day.

His wife, Chheun Ean, raises a cow and owns a plot of farmland where she grows a variety of vegetables. On average, she earns around one dollar a day. They have five children; one is employed at a garment factory earning two dollars each day; three are construction workers and also make two dollars per day; the fifth is married and lives outside the family home.

Mr. Lok E. is looking for a loan to purchase a motorbike to transfer the recycle items to the plant.
