A loan of $575 helped to buy refrigerator motors and cylinders of gas.

Eiva's story

Eiva, 39, is a hardworking woman with a great desire to get ahead. She lives with Oswaldo, who's a refrigeration technician.

Eiva's job is refrigeration maintenance service, for which they set up a small shop in their house. She began with a few requests and hopes to continue growing. She started in this business more than 10 months ago. It was her husband's idea because he has the requisite knowledge.

She considers it profitable because of the demand for this refrigeration equipment in the hot climate. She likes her job because she's busy and it allows her to combat stress, to be at home and be able to take care of her children, and because it generates an income for her and allows her to pay the household expenses.

She plans to expand her business, set up a larger and better-equipped workshop, and become a prosperous businesswoman. This would be her twelfth loan with MFP. She considers the members of her communal bank to be good and punctual people who mutually support each other. She'll continue being punctual with her payments and have a good credit record so she can continue to get more loans.

With the loan for 1500 nuevos soles [PEN] she'll buy refrigerator motors worth 80 USD each, as well as cylinders of gas at 250 PEN, to set up her shop.
