A loan of $300 helped to buy rice, sugar, firewood, and cinnamon.

Nelly María's story

Nelly María has a business making ‘atol’ [a traditional corn based drink] and ‘arroz de leche’ [rice pudding]. She prepares them from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. She later leaves to sell them in an itinerant manner on the streets of the city of León. She has been devoted to this business for seven years so that she can help her husband with the household expenses.

Nelly María is requesting a loan to buy rice, sugar, firewood, and cinnamon wholesale in order to get more income.

Nelly María has improved her standard of living and that of her family with the income she got as a result of the loans from Ceprodel. She has remodeled her humble home, making it more comfortable for her children, ages 20 and 16.

Nelly’s dream is for her two children to triumph in their careers.
