Marina's story

Marina is from the Chkhorotsku district of West Georgia. She is 41 years old and lives with her husband and three children (12, 16, and 18 years old). Her husband works as an artisan locally and gets a monthly income. The children go to the village school. Marina runs the agricultural business. In particular, she has a small dairy farm of two calves and two milk cows, whose milk is used in cheese products. Besides this, the family owns an agricultural land where nuts and maize are grown. Marina does all relevant agricultural works to ensure a good harvest. In addition, she is successfully involved in the animal husbandry business and has four horses and two pigs. She sells the cheese products, piglets, nuts, and maize at the local open market. Marina and her husband work hard to make some savings and improve the living conditions for their family.

She requested a loan to purchase an additional milk cow. After the number of cattle of is increased, Marina will receive more milk for her dairy and sell more cheese.
