A loan of $250 helped to increase the stock of soap, cooking fat, etc. in his shop.

Benard's story

Benard is a resident of Mariakani, Kenya and runs a wholesale shop, which has been in operation for ten years. He is a married father of four children. He started the business from the capital he received while selling paper bags from a nearby factory. Despite the effect of price fluctuations, Benard aspires to own another wholesale shop in town. He learned of Milango from his friends, and joined this year. He is applying for a loan of 21,050 Kenyan shillings to increase the stock of soap, cooking fat, etc. in his shop. Benard believes the additional income from this loan will help him plan for the purchase of a car to transport his products.
