Lis's story

Lis, a 49-year-old married mother of four children, resides in Takeo Province, Cambodia where she has been selling groceries for more than four years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about $2 daily. Three of her children are employed in a garment factory, earning about $9 each day.



In order to improve her family’s finances, Lis is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase more groceries to sell. This money will help her increase her stock and earn more income for her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her youngest child achieve higher education. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
