Lexi Alexandra's story

In Mejía, located a few kilometers from the city of Portoviejo, a city where its people is mainly dedicated to agriculture and coconut growth and sale, the communal bank Corazon Mejia meets every fifteen days.

Mrs. Lexi lives in this place. She is 30 years old, married and has a 10-year-old son from this relationship, who attends schools. Her husband is a farmer. She learned cosmetology a few years back. Today, in order to earn her own income, help her husband with household expenses and her son’s education expenses, she does personal styling jobs.

Her jobs vary from hair coloring and manicures among other things. Her clients call her and she goes to their homes to perform her job, or they may come to her house to have something done they desire her to do. She works everyday. She has been doing this activity for 7 years and she enjoys what she does.

She will use this loan to buy hairbrushes, scissors, combs, hair coloring dye, nail polish and other necessary products for her job. This is her third cycle with the communal bank and she likes that the loans are fast and without many requisites.

Her dream is to open her own full service beauty salon.
