Every normal person has many challenges to overcome and this gentleman is an example. Menza is single; he is a kind and hardworking person who earns a living by selling mats. He does not want to engage in the violent activities experienced in his vicinity. He believes that hard work pays and this is the spirit that keeps him moving. Menza has been in this business for the last two years, selling his mats at the market. He is taking out this loan to buy more stock of mats to sell and to pay transportation costs.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
