Rosa's story

Rosa, 62 years old, is a hard working woman, as well as warm and friendly. She is married to Cayo, who is a cook and they have one child, who is now an adult. She lives with her husband in their own house and they provide each other love and company.

Rosa sells food such as breakfasts and fixed meals. She set up her business in a spacious area of the house and there she waits on customers principally at night, however there are occasions that she serves meals in the mornings. Her customers are passersby in the area, neighbors and friends. Fortunately her establishment is very welcoming thanks to the fine seasoning of her meals. She has had this business for nearly five years. She started this adventure with her husband's help thanks to a loan that they obtained. Now they work together and always cordially care for their customers.

Rosa enjoys her business because it enables her to have an income to pay for household expenses since they have had many economic needs due to the low earnings her husband garnered working for a private restaurant. Now, however, she is relieved because they have developed a worthwhile job for him in their own home.

This is her 16th loan from MFP. Thus she is grateful to those who have made her access to this funding possible since she will feel more certain of progressing in her business. She is committed to making her payments on time and feels happy and supported by the members of her communal bank. With the S/.2,000 requested she will buy supplies and ingredients for her meals and also she will repair her space by buying ceramic tiles and paint for her walls as well as chairs and tables.
