A loan of $575 helped to buy more shoes and clothing.

Isabel's story

Isabel, 36, is responsible and hardworking, as well as kind and cordial. She lives with Richard, and they have three children. They live in their own, well-built home. Isabel sells shoes and men´s and women´s clothing. She must travel regularly to Lima to purchase the clothing at a discount. This has been her business for six years, and she alone is responsible for finding and winning over her clientele. The business is profitable, and it helps her pay household expenses and educate her daughter.

Earlier, she had financial problems because her partner´s income didn´t cover the family´s costs of food, clothing, and other items. She now wants to expand and grow her business by opening a boutique of men´s and women´s clothing in her house. This is her fourth loan cycle with MFP. It eases her mind to know she has financial backing that guarantees that she can keep working. For her part, she promises to continue being a member who makes her payments on time, as she has done in the past. She is comfortable with the members of her communal bank because they are responsible and caring.

She will use the loan of 1500 nuevos soles to buy a variety of styles and sizes of clothing and shoes at the best prices so that she can achieve higher profits.
