« Alide » Group's story

The Alide group is composed of three friends. The group’s representative, by the name of Homédokpo, is the one raising her hand in the photo. She has had some formal schooling. She is 52 years old and married to Joseph, a tailor. They have six children, all in school and two still in their care. For almost 20 years, Homédokpo has been selling staple foods (corn, rice etc) out of her home, allowing her to help support her family. Homédokpo stocks up at a market in Benin. With the goal of increasing product stock and better meeting customer demand, Homédokpo, along with the other members of the Alide group, would like to obtain a loan.
