Sreynut's Group's story

Sreynut is 32 years old and a citizen of the Pursat Province's Kror Kor district of Cambodia. She has three children; some are in school and others are too young for schooling.

Sreynut has been a rice farmer for seven years. It is her family's main source of income. She also runs a small grocery stall at home to generate extra income. Sreynut earn up to 12,800 KHR per day.

Currently, her family's situation is getting better because of her first loan, that she paid back with success. She is in the second loan-cycle and the leader in this group that consists of three members.

As the leader, she is going to use her portion of the loan to buy more grocery items such as canned food, instant noodles, beverages, etc. She hopes this will help her to refill her grocery stall, so she can make more income and keep her children in school.
