Pheap's Group's story

Pheap is 59 years old, widowed, and has five children. She resides in a rural village of Kror Kor district located in Pursat province in Cambodia. Pheap earns a living by farming rice and selling cakes. She earns about 11,000 KHR per day. After deducting her daily cost of living, she is able to save around 6,000 KHR.

Pheap is requesting her fifth loan with VisionFund along with a group member for a total of 1,500,000 KHR. With her previous loans, Pheap was able to meet her family’s needs and make her businesses more secure. With her new loan for 1,000,000 KHR, Pheap will build a latrine as well as purchase ingredients such as eggs, flour, and rice. to support her cake-selling business.

With her loan, Pheap will be able to smoothly run her cake-selling business. With the latrine properly installed, Pheap and her family will be able to avoid unsanitary practices and help promote sanitation and hygiene practices in Cambodia.
