A loan of $400 helped to buy another cow.

Rosa Alicia's story

Rosa, 40, is married and has 3 children. She's had a dressmaking business for 3 years. She learned this trade by attending classes at an academy in 1992, located in a city a half hour away from where she lives. Prior to that, she worked mainly in the home; but in addition to working as a seamstress she also raises cows so obtain their milk. She walks 30 minutes to arrive at the bus stop, where she takes a bus to the place where she buys her supplies. She makes this trip once a month.

Rosa makes school uniforms for 2 schools. She delivers 129 uniforms every 6 months to these places. To do this, she must walk 30 minutes to board a bus, and then it takes her an hour and 15 minute to arrive.

The loan that she is requesting from Fundacion Campo is to buy another cow. In the time it takes her to care for one cow, she could care for two. With this investment, she wants to increase her milk production and ensure that there is food for her children.
