A loan of $775 helped to buy a refrigerator and goods to stock her store.

Felicitas's story

Cheerful and participative is how Felicitas, 42, has been married to Cesario for several years; their family joy is compounded by five children. She has a house made out of substantial materials she managed to acquire three years ago with her husband’s help.

Seeing the good demand grocery stores had and wanting to become a merchant, she started her business four years ago. At first she only stocked the bare necessities but her long-range plan was to become well established with her clientele. This was how she set aside space at home to set up her store with simple shelving and no display case; she tended to it by herself all day but always motivated to continue working because she was reaching for a family goal.

Later on and thanks to MFP loans she gradually expanded the business until she became one of the most competent in her neighborhood and as time passed more profitable too. Now, aiming at meeting demand and commercial growth, she wants to buy a refrigerator so she can offer cold beverages and to buy more merchandise for the store.

She’s had 15 MFP loans and always has been punctual and responsible with her payments. She enjoys being part of her communal bank because they are a large number of well-known members which makes her very confident. She will use the 2,000 to buy a refrigerator and other merchandise to continue stocking the store.
