A loan of $1,925 helped a member to increase the genge stock items and start selling charcoal in his genge business.


Sisi Kwa Sisi Group's story

Mohamed, who is in his mid 30s, is married and living together with his wife and with seven children, four of whom are in school and the remaining already completed school. He has been running genge business selling fruits and vegetable for three years now. He works from 8am to 7pm daily and he is able to earn a fair monthly profit.

He request for the first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He wants this loan to increase on the genge stock items and start selling charcoal in his genge business. His dream is to one day be able to expand his business to more places.

He will share this loan with his loan group "Sisi Kwa Sisi" which totals 10 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
