A loan helped to purchase more vegetables for resale.

Keochenda's story

Keochenda, age 23 and a mother of one young daughter, lives in Kror Kor district of Pursat Province. She raises her family by selling vegetables and raising chickens. To earn additional income, her husband drives a motor-taxi for a fee to better support the entire household. Keochenda has been involved in these businesses for 3 years and they enable her to earn up to 18,500 KHR per day.

Keochenda's prior loan was her original loan with VisionFund (Kiva's partner). The past loan, which she has completely paid back, has supported her family with decent food better than before. Since she is short of working capital to support her business, Keochenda is applying for a second-cycle loan in the amount of 4,000,000 KHR. For her, some of this loan portion will be used to fix her house, while most of it will be used to purchase more vegetables for resale. She highly hopes that she can double her income from her current business and improve her family's living condition.
