Mahoulome 9 Group's story

The MAHOULOME 9 group is made up of three friends living in the same village. Jeanne (who is raising her hand in the photo) is the group's representative. She is 42 years old and married to a man named Jean-Marie. She has six children, all of whom live in the care of their parents and have received schooling. The couple lives together with their children, and both Jeanne and Jean-Marie participate in covering the various expenses. Jeanne did not go to school.

Jeanne sells palm oil and palm wines from her home. She has been running this business for about 15 years now. She stocks up in a region in Benin.

Jeanne is trying to increase her stock of goods for sale in order to raise the level of her business. Doing so will allow her to better meet the demand of her customers. That is why Jeanne, along with the other members of the MAHOULOME 9 group, is seeking a first loan from ALIDé.
