A loan of $2,425 helped a member to buy ingredients for the malts and to buy chairs.

Eclipse Group's story

“Eclipse” is a communal bank consisting of five women who strive to reach their dreams by means of their great effort. The members chose this name because their weekly meetings take place in a snack bar of the same name. María Concepción, 53, is a responsible, hardworking, married woman; her husband works as a paver; they have two children who are 35 and 38 years of age, both married. Concepción has been working selling nutritional malts made from ingredients that are designed to promote health for the last six years. She decided to start this business because of an illness. She started taking these products and succeeded in improving her health and in losing weight and they offered her the opportunity to sell these products as well as to pay the rent for the locale and everything else needed to set up and she happily accepted. She’s struggled mightily to get ahead and profits are perhaps few but for her the satisfaction is seeing so many people who thanks to her, her services and her products, are able to improve their health. She will use the loan to buy more ingredients for the malts and to buy chairs because she only has a few. A dream she wants to reach is to have her own locale in order to save on rent. Eclipse is a good group and the one day they see each other they try to get along well; they are good friends and want to be the best group.
