Lambayeque, Peru / Animal Sales

A loan of $575 helped to buy more animals and animal feed. She also intends to make a few home improvements.

María's story

Maria is 30 years old, single and has no dependents. She lives next to her parents in a small village that make up the district of Lambayeque, which is a commercial and agricultural area. The life style in the area is very humble and rudimentary.

She works out of her home breeding young animals. Once they reach a mature age, she puts them up for sale to merchants and neighbors in the area. In addition, she grows and sells alfalfa and yams.

The income she receives from these activities allows her to help support her family’s economic needs. She has six years experience in her business.

At the present time, she is asking Edpyme Atlernativa for a 1500 New Soles (PEN) loan. The loan would be intended to buy more animals and animal feed. She also intends to make a few home improvements.
