A loan of $775 helped to purchase a parcel of land.

Eulalia's story

Eulalia is a 33 year old mother of five children. Together with her husband, 39 year old Félix, she carries out the role of responsible, principled parenting. For some time they have been planning on building a house from quality materials, as the one they currently live in is made from wood. Their main business is producing cacao, a job that she feels is very simple. She has parcels of land that offer the best agricultural conditions. She has been a cacao producer for 15 years and is well-known in her area. She counts on the help of day laborers who aid in maintaining the plants, pulling the weeds and pruning the cacao plants. One of the activities that she finds the most gratifying is the harvest. That is when she can enjoy seeing the colorful cacao fruit all piled up to later be opened and put out to dry. For Eulalia, this signifies a good production. Recently, someone has offered to sell her a parcel of land adjacent to her own, and Eulalia doesn't want to miss out on the opportunity. Therefore, this eighth loan with MFP would be to purchase said plot of land, on which she could expand her cacao plantings.
