A loan of $525 helped to buy cell phone accessories and cosmetics that she will sell.

Iris Yaneth's story

Iris, age 38, is a single mother. She lives with her two children in a suburban neighborhood of San Pedro Sula. She is very enterprising. She previously worked at a pastry business as a dispatcher. With her savings she managed to establish her own business on the sidewalk of one of the city markets. That is where she sells cell phone accessories like cases, batteries, chargers, and others. She also sells make-up like lipstick, eye shadow, fingernail polish, nail trimmers, compact powder, and others. The business has been profitable as she has had it for three years. She gets the income needed to support her children. With this 10,000 lempira loan that she has requested she will stock her business more with cell phone accessories and cosmetics. She will do this in order to make her business grow more. Her goal for the future is to generate more income so that she can finish expanding her house.
