Houn is 47 years old. She is widowed and resides with five children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been employed as a cleaner for more than three years, earning approximately $3 per day. Additionally, she is involved in breeding pigs to generate more income for the family. Three of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $16 daily.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Houn is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase a motorbike for her son to run a taxi service. This purchase will help him generate more income for the family.
In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn higher educations. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
