A loan of $725 helped to construct a zero-grazing unit and buy a power generator.

Linah's story

Linah, a resident of Eldoret In North Rift Kenya, has been in active farming for 16 years. She currently produces milk and tea for the local market, which provides an income that helps her meet her family's basic needs.

Linah has requested a loan of 60,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy barbed wire at 40,000 KES to construct a zero-grazing unit and purchase a generator to help pump water for her dairy animals. Of her required micro-finance training session, she says that she learned "of Juhudi's loan processing and repayment terms".

Note: To create this loan profile, Juhudi Kilimo used a mobile device to gather information in the field and send the data to a central online repository, thus reducing paper use, making the process more efficient, and keeping costs down.
