A loan of $250 helped to pay laborers in order to begin plowing and sowing her crops.

Donata's story

Donata, 53 years old, is a hardworking woman. She lives with Ezequiel, her husband for 32 years. They have eight children together, of which only six of them live in their own home. Because she and her husband worked together, they were able to obtain all the achievements they now have, the house and financial stability.

She works in agriculture, growing corn, beans and potatoes on their own and rented land. Every morning she works caring for her crop, that soon will soon yield the type of potato called “yungay,” and which she hopes will bring good income. Furthermore, since she is known by the wholesalers, sometimes they come to the farms to market the entire product.

Now she wants to increase her planting in order to obtain good earnings so they can buy more farmland. She belongs to the solidarity group “Manos fuertes” (Strong Hands) and this is her fifth loan through MFP, where she feels established, and she gets financial help in order to get ahead in her business. Therefore, she promises to be punctual with her payments.

Donata will invest the requested funds in the payment of laborers so they can begin plowing and sowing.
