A loan of $850 helped to buy cement, sand, and bricks, and to pay for labor.

Marlon José's story

In the town of Santa Rosa del Peñón, a beautiful city with a variety of activities, Marlon José is known as a responsible and honest young man who is dedicated to his job. Marlon José, born in this beautiful town, makes a living as a driver in one of the health departments in his town. He has three children in his care. His wife doesn't have a job, only as a housewife.

With the small salary he earns as a driver, he can't build a room, which is one of his dreams for his family because they're growing and need more space for their living conditions. This is why he's requesting a loan from CEPRODEL and Kiva. He'll be using this loan to buy cement, sand, and bricks, and to pay for labor.

His main dream is to build a bedroom so his family will have better living conditions.

He estimates that his home will be better by the end of the year, but he needs CEPRODEL and Kiva to give him this type of loan. At the moment he only has his good health, his capacity to work, and his honesty. "In the first place I'm grateful to God for getting me together with CEPRODEL and Kiva, so they continue extending me a friendly hand."
