A loan of $400 helped to buy sheep.

Gloria's story

Gloria, 41, is a hardworking woman. She lives with one of her two daughters, Any, whom she cares for in the house that she inherited from her parents 15 years ago.

She has 8 good quality cows, as well as 80 sheep that she cares for with dedication. Before the sun rises, she takes her animals to the heights above her village, where they can find the best natural pastures for grazing. Her effort is rewarded every time she markets the milk produced by her cows. She obtains several liters a day, so much that she loses count of how many liters she sells to a processing company that comes to her house every day.

Along with her work, she plants crops as part of a group as well as independently, which also generates a good income. Now she wants to increase her herd of sheep, as she now has a buyer and does not want to be left without any animals to breed.

She belongs to the group Mujeres Ynamarquinas and this is her second loan with MFP, where she feels she has developed, now that she has obtained financial aid to grow her business. She promises to be timely with her payments. Gloria will invest the money in buying more livestock, mainly quality sheep.
