A loan of $575 helped to buy 10 sheep.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda is 48 years old and is a cheerful woman. She lives with her husband Wilder who cares for their home, which he inherited from his mother. They have 5 children, but only 3 live with them: Clisver, Yuditza, and Roni.

Every morning with her husband she goes to their land where they grow beans, barley, potatoes, and other agricultural products. She has 25 years of experience in agriculture. What she enjoys most is to spend the majority of her days in the field and eating the natural products. She says that thanks to the support of her family, she was able to get her own agricultural land. Because she no longer has to pay rent, she will earn more revenue.

She is also dedicated to raising animals like pigs, sheep, and cows which provide many daily benefits. Wednesdays and Sundays the animals are taken to market in the city. She says, "Thanks to the sale of the animals I get a permanent income for my family."

She belongs to the solidarity group "mujeres yanamarquinas." This is her second loan with MPF. She feels it is well developed since you get economic aid to progress your business. Therefore she promises to be punctual with her payments. Yolanda will invest the money in the purchase of animals, an average of 10 sheep.
