A loan of $1,025 helped to buy pineapples to sell.

Jose Rafael's story

Jose is 55 years old and single. He lives with his children in a suburban neighborhood in San Pedro Sula. He has always been a merchant, and 15 years ago he managed to get his own sales stand, which he rents, at a city market. He sells fruit like watermelons, tangerines, and he mainly sells pineapples. He buys the fruit wholesale directly from the producer, and he sells it for retail at the market. Jose has decided to request this loan for 20,000 lempiras in order to stock up on pineapples to sell. He already has his fixed customers with his business. This loan will help him to always have the product and to get income to support his family. His goal is to manage to have his own place in order to improve the business.
