A loan of $1,675 helped to buy shoes and a display case.

Marcial Geoconda's story

Marcia lives in the beach canton in the province of Guayas, Ecuador. She is 37 years old and a single mother of 2 children ages 17 and 8. Her oldest is a high-school student in a nearby public school.

10 years ago, Marcia began working in a shrimp farm, but she lost her job in a round of layoffs. That is why she decided to open her own business selling athletic shoes from catalogs. Little by little, she has been building up her client base.

With this loan, Marcia wishes to buy a display case and shoes for her business. Her goal for the future is to buy a car so she will be able to deliver her products to customers who live farther away.
