A loan of $275 helped a member to buy materials for constructing a decent latrine.

Art's Group's story

Living in a thatched-roof house in the Bovel district of Battambang province, Cambodia, Art is aged 37 years and married. She has four children, all of whom are dependent on her and still in school. She and her husband are rice farmers, who have been in farming on 2 hectares of farmland to make a living for ten years. From the current business, she is able to earn about KHR 14,000 per day to meet the family’s needs.

Art’s group consists of five members who live in the same village and she is in her first loan with VisionFund. Now leading her group to seek for a loan of KHR 200,000 each, Art will use her portion to buy materials for constructing a decent latrine. She'll need cement, bricks, a latrine pan, etc. She hopes this loan will enable her family to have a clean latrine for daily use so as to improve a healthy standard of living.

In this group: Art, Met, Khom, Bora, Vatana
