A citizen from a rural village of Battambang province’s Kam Rieng district, Sila is 29 years old and married, with two school age children.
To make a living and support her family, Sila and her husband have been farming rice for three years, and she supplements their income by raising pigs.
This is the first micro loan for Sila with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now requesting a loan of $1,000, she is going to buy a hand tractor to improve her farming business. Sila hopes to cultivate her rice to earn more income to improve her lifestyle and to keep her children in school.
