A loan of $500 helped a member to buy more grocery items for resale.


Kimcheng's Group's story

Kimcheng, 30, lives in one of the remote areas of the Kror Kor district of Pursat province. She has three dependent children, two daughters and one son, who is still in school. To support her family, she has been selling grocery items as the main source of income. To better feed the family, her husband also works as a paid worker in local area. She has been in this businesses for two years, and she is able to save only KHR 10,000 per day. This is the first microloan for Kimcheng’s group of two with VisionFund. She is now leading her group to request a loan of KHR 1,000,000 each. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy more grocery items for resale such as salt, eggs, sugar etc. She hopes to earn more income from the current business so as to make a better living and keep her children in school.
