Saret's Group's story

Living in a rural area located in the Moung Russey district of Cambodia, Saret is 37 years old and married. She has three children, all of whom are still in school and dependent on her. To make a living and take care of her children, she is a grocery-seller. She has been in the business for several years. She is able to earn approximately 20,000 KHR and manages to save about 10,000 KHR each day after daily expenses. Saret has been with VisionFund for two loan cycles and completely repaid the loans while the other member has been with VisionFund for one loan cycle. Saret successfully used the loans from VisionFund to better support her family’s living. She is now leading her group to apply for a loan for a loan of 400,000 KHR each. As the leader, she is going use her portion to buy piglets to raise in order to additional income for the family. She hopes this loan will enable her to improve her business and make more income to improve her lifestyle and keep her children in school.
