Carmen Del Pilar

Peru
CHINCHA, Peru / Clothing Sales

A loan of $1,175 helped to buy merchandise (polo shirts, shorts, stockings, jeans and blouses, among other items).

Carmen Del Pilar's story

Carmen is a young 25 year old mother. She is very happy and above all very hard-working since she is giving her 2 children aged 5 and 8, who she loves very much, a good education in life. Her residence is located in the city of Chincha and every day she travels around the streets of her city since she works as a saleswoman of bread very early in the morning. She also has a business selling clothing in the market of her city. She works around 8 hours per day and can serve up to 15 customers daily. She believes that she is doing well in her business because of her kindness and her charisma.

Carmen is very grateful for the Kiva loans since thanks to the help that they have offered her she will be able to buy merchandise such as polo shirts, shorts, stockings, jeans and blouses, among other items. In this manner she will have a better variety of products and will be able to continue trying to realize her greatest dream: "To have her own home and to be a great businesswoman and be able to give a good education to her children."
